Our last event of 2013 is just over 2 weeks away at VIR, September 2-3- Labor Day weekend. The track will be slightly different now that mighty Oak Tree has fallen. We always look forward to the Fall at VIR with the weather and leaves changing. Mark and I hope to see you there.
At VIR in September we will be announcing some of our 2014 plans and allowing registration of our Sebring 2014 event exclusively for those at VIR in September at that time.
Our Road Atlanta event May 20-21 went well with 85 degree sunny weather and 14 hours of open track over 2 great days.
What our participants are saying:
"Highest value for the money. More track time per dollar and top level coaching included at no charge."
"When you leave a DMTD event you not only improve your lap time with precision but walk away with a driving style for life."
"When you are ready to leave your training wheels behind and ride with the big kids -- DMTD."
"Where adults are treated like adults - DMTD"
"When you want more than 10 hot laps a day - DMTD"
"What track days are supposed to look like - DMTD"
Next event May 20-21
April @ VIR had some very interesting cars. Getting passed by a Championship winning F1 car is an experience to remember including the sound. We had three F1 cars at this event along with Indy Lights cars, Porsche Cup cars, Corvettes, Ariel Atom's, Formula Ford, and even a lot of Mazda Miata's along with many others. Co exsiting on track was seamless thanks to our participants. Click on the video to watch and listen as we saw it in person:
After a good run at COTA from 32nd to 10th and finishing 13th, David will be at Barber Motorsports Park April 6 competing again driving the TGM BMW with Ted Giovanis in the Grand Am CT ST race. He will be at Road Atlanta for the round after that on April 20. If you are at a Grand Am race come say hello.
There is one day between these events for travel for those that would like to do both.
Our event at Sebring was a great success. Thank you all that attended and made it great. It was sunny and 80 degrees both days. The event was sold out and we had some great car and driver entries. Here are a few pictures from the event courtesy of Colour Tech South.

David Murry to Drive for TeamTGM for the 2013 Season
HIGHLAND, MD – TeamTGM announced today that it has added professional driver David Murry to its driver lineup for the 2013 season of GRAND-AM’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series. The team fields the No. 64 ST class BMW 328i. Murry will co-drive with veteran TeamTGM driver and team owner Ted Giovanis. The team will promote The Jayne Koskinas/Ted Giovanis Foundation for Health and Policy, a privately funded health care foundation which provides honest informed policy analytics in the health care industry.
Murry has claimed numerous championships, successes, and national and international track records in the sport of racing. Throughout Murry’s vast history, he has held long-term relationships as a factory driver with numerous manufactures, such as Porsche, BMW, and Lotus, in a variety of series including IMSA Firestone Firehawk Series, SCCA World Challenge, NASCAR, GRAND-AM, and ALMS. In addition to his professional driving career, Murry has obtained immense recognition for his ability to coach drivers. Murry’s vast experiences, accomplishments, technical expertise, and aptitude for the sport of racing are what give him an edge in the area of driver coaching. Through his development of the David Murry Tracks Days, Murry is able to share his talents with race enthusiasts hoping to up their game on the track at a reasonable cost to the attendee.
The David Murry Track Days fostered the relationship between Murry and Giovanis. Giovanis started attending the David Murry Track Days to get reasonably priced track time, have access to open track in race and non-race cars, and have the ability to drive all different tracks throughout the country. Teaming up Murry and Giovanis for the 2013 season was a natural progression. Giovanis has been developing his skills with the aid of Murry, and the two decided to take on the 2013 season together as co-drivers.
With high hopes for the 2013 season, Murry and Giovanis will take on the campaign of The Jayne Koskinas/Ted Giovanis Foundation for Health and Policy. Most health policy initiatives address effects rather than causes and, accordingly, fail to accomplish their goals. The Foundation takes a different approach; it identifies policy alternatives based on independent and objective analyses of the causes of the problems with our health care policy and delivery system because it has independent funding leading to honest unbiased assessments. Accordingly, the Foundation works to provide an honest and informed perspective for the benefit of all patients served by the health care system.
“We are excited to have David as part of TeamTGM. His extensive history and success in the sport of racing will be a huge asset to the team and will help in the promotion of our Foundation,” said Giovanis. “In addition to being co-driver, David has also been a key player in the re-development of our team, and we are excited for this opportunity to take our team to the next level.”
Please be sure to follow TeamTGM for the 2013 season of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.
TeamTGM (formerly T. Giovanis Motorsports) has been involved in motor racing since 1991 and joined GRAND-AM in 2006 with a Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series program. The Jayne Koskinas/Ted Giovanis Foundation for Health and Policy (a private organization dedicated to ensuring integrity in health policy); T. Giovanis & Company, LLC (a health policy and regulatory consulting firm); and getBMWparts.com (an internet provider of BMW parts) are the current team partners.

It is with great disappointment that we make the following announcement:
Today we were informed by Circuit of the Americas track that the dates March 13-14, 2013 were no longer available to us. COTA said they were reserving those dates for team testing after just confirming those dates were available to us. We are removing COTA from our schedule and anyone who registered will receive a full refund today.
While we understand tracks have their choice of whom to rent their facilities to we are also very disappointed in the way this was done.
We regret the inconvenience this has caused everyone.
We are pleased to announce our 2013 schedule. We have some new additions to our calendar for next year. We have added more legendary tracks. In 2013 we will be going to Sebring International Raceway, Road Atlanta, and Atlanta Motorsports Park in addition to retaining all the events of 2012. We look forward to next year and growing every year beyond. Thank you all for your interest and participation. Registration is open for all events.
Note: There is one day between VIR in April and AMP making it possible to do both for a great week trip.
